Japan-Australia : "Strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership"

Ambassador Kojima has had a long and distinguished diplomatic career in many Japanese Embassies across the world. He has been posted in different positions in the USA, Brazil, UK and the People's Republic of China. He has recently arrived in Australia from his posting as the Japanese Ambassador in Singapore (2004-2007). Previously, Ambassador Kojima held the position of Director-General, Intelligence and Analysis Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Ambassador Kojima's talk "Strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" focused on the Australia-Japan bilateral relationship, taking into account the recent developments in the Asia Pacific region.

This luncheon coincided with the Fourth Australia and Japan 1.5 Track Security Dialogue. 2007 also marked the 50th Anniversary of the Australia-Japan Commerce Agreement.
