Memorandum to UN by Baloch Students Organization

The memorandum to United Nations Organization

Balochistan, the land of the Baloch people, was forcefully annexed with Pakistan, through a military operation, on 27 March 1948. The Baloch people have been struggling for their right of national self-determination since then.
The atrocities of Pakistan army in Balochistan have a very long history. The Pakistan’s rulers have denied every right to the Baloch people. They colonized their motherland, looting their natural resources.

In the recent years Baloch issue is completely wiped out in Pakistani media and atrocities of Pakistan army are increasing by every passing day on 26th August 2006, the veteran elderly Baloch nationalist leader Chief of Jmhoori Watan Party (JWP), who was also the former governor and chief minister of Balochistan, was killed in laser guided missile air strikes along with his 68 comrades on 21st November 2007, another Baloch nationalist leader Nawabzada Balach Marri, a leader of the Baloch nationalist movement killed by Pakistan army in air strike attack.

Pakistan army has launched a massive military operation in Balochistan obing U.S supplied gunship helicopters which were provided to curb the wave of terrorism in the name of Islam by Al-Qaeeda and Taliban. Pakistan army has bombarded many areas of Balochistan and military opration is still going on in Nuski, Turbat, Panjgour, Dera Bhugti, Bolan, Awaran and many other parts of Balochistan. So far more than 2000 Baloch has been killed including children & women. More than 80000 people have been displaced from their homes in Dera Bhugti and they are helpless.

Since 2002 more than 6000 Baloch political activists, peasants, doctors, literary persons and others belonging to different fields of life has been abducted by intelligent agencies and kept in undisclosed torture cells they are tortured un humanly and they are detained without any charges and neither they have produced before any court nor they were convicted. Former federal interior minister Mr. Aftab Ahmad Sherpao has admitted in 2005 that intelligence agencies have detained more tan 4000 persons from all over Balochistan. Asian Human Rights Commission, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and the Amnesty International have also urged Pakistani authorities to release these detained Baloch or produce them before courts. Wahid Qamber, Zahid Baloch,

Naveed Baloch, Asim Baloch, Zakir Marri and Sanaullah Baloch are political activists and innocent people who’s locations are still unknown. Zakir Majeed Baloch Central Secretary General of Baloch Students Organization, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, former chief minister of Balochistan and President Balochistan National Party, Munir Mengal, Managing Director of Baloch voice TV Channel and many more are behind bars without any cases against them.

Recently Pakistani authorities pressurized the Britain authorities to arrest the Baloch nationalist leaders and Human Rights activists Nawabzada Hairbeyar Marri in London. Hairbeyar marri is being alleged of having affiliation with the shadowy Baloch Liberation Army. But the fact is that Pakistani rulers suspect every Baloch being associated with the BLA. It’s feared that if Hairbeyar is handed over to Pakistan, he might be exposed to torture and other cruelties which every Baloch is suffering have in Pakistan.

We, therefore, request to the UN to put pressure on the UK not to hand over Mr Marri to Pakistan.

Pakistani firm whose chemicals were used to kill US troops seeks subsidy for Indiana plant

By Jennifer Griffin, Justin Fishel
Published March 22, 2013

A Pakistani fertilizer maker whose chemicals have been used in 80 percent of the roadside bombs that have killed and maimed American troops in Afghanistan is now seeking U.S. taxpayer subsidies in order to open a factory in Indiana.
The request appears to be on hold pending further review, but the situation has stirred outrage in Congress, where some accuse the Pakistani government of halting efforts to clamp down on the bomb-making.
For the past seven years, the U.S. government has known that the raw material calcium ammonium nitrate, or CAN, is making its way across the border into Afghanistan where the Taliban use it to fuel their most deadly weapons, namely the improvised explosive device. IEDs have long been the number one killer of U.S. and coalition troops.
The material largely comes from Pakistani fertilizer maker the Fatima Group. But the Pakistani government has stymied attempts by the Pentagon to stop the flow of the…
