Dr Malik's Meeting with Hilary Clinton

Written Translated by

Hafeez Hassanabadi,Archen Baloch

According to news reports Dr Malik, the head of National Party, has had a meeting with the American foreign secretary Hilary Clinton, where he has expressed his support for drone attacks and welcomed the Kerry Lugar bill.
What could be more apathetic then that of Dr Malik’s attitudes towards his national issues? This has saddened us deeply.

We know that slavery has eroded our self confidence from us, which is why, whenever we talk, we slavishly try to appease the masters. It is an illness, but when this illness affects a national leader, then it becomes hard to full the nation out of it abyss of slavery.

It is now incumbent upon us to remind people like Dr Malik, that when you claim to be a national leader, then you should be to talking about the issues of your unfortunate nation above all.

If you had the chance to utter a few words, then you should have expressed your concerns over the target killing of political leaders by the stated sponsored terrorism. And you should have reminded her that on the one hand, the world powers oppose extremism, and urge the political forces to resolve the differences through democratic means, but on the other, the despotic regimes and governments, supported by world powers, would not hesitate to kill and wound the peaceful protesters. These despotic regimes would abduct political leaders in the broad day light and kill them; their rattled bodies with bullets are thrown at unknown deserted locations. But the same world powers, who lecture for peaceful means for resolving national issues, are overlooking these despotic regimes heinous crimes, which is regarded as a certificate for these states to carry out their heinous crimes of terminating the opponents and putting restriction on democratic and political means of struggles.

You should have reminded her about the on going military operations of Pakistani forces in Balochistan, the extra judicial actions and arrests, the years old disappearances of thousands of political workers and leaders, or exposed the fact to the world super power about Raskhoh nuclear tests environmental effects, the outbreak of different types of diseases, or the dislodging of local people from their villages for the past 12 years, and similarly complained about the radiation of Pakistan nuclear tests in the area where neither united nations nor a credible international nuclear inspection agency have visited the test site to assess the level of radiation, so that the people leaving in the surrounding area could be saved from the succeeding generational affects of these tests.

What on earth has urged Dr malik to talk about Kerry Lugar bill and drone attacks while forgetting his own people who migrated in hundreds of thousands from Dera Bugti and Mountainous Marri, to alien places because of Pakistani military onslaught, of which a large number of families have migrated to neighboring Afghanistan where they are, for the past five years leaving in extremely abject conditions, a human tragedy of which the government has adopted a shameful apathetic agnorance towards these people.

It is also a shame full tragedy for United Nations that they have become totally apathetic toward Baloch IDPs.

Is it that the Kerry Lugar bill and the drone attacks are more important for Dr malik then the precious lives of Jalil Reki, Zaker Majeed, Dr Deen Mohmd, Iqbal Baloch, Asger Ali Bungulzai, and thousands other disappeared Baloch?
An entire Pakistan is there to express like or dislike about Kerry and Lugar bill and drone attacks, from president and prime minister, to opposition leader Nawaz Shareer to Imran Khan, all are engaged in debating the issue.

But who talks about your unfortunate Baloch nation?
The American officials are frequently visiting Pakistan; Pakistan has utterly made it impossible for Baloch to have access to American officials. In such a rare time when you had the chance/ access to America secretary and allowed to express yourself, (For me, as a Baloch, concerning the genocide of Baloch in Balochistan, all other issues are of secondary important) why you wasted it by talking about something which is of non important to Baloch national cause? Wastage of such opportunity amounts to negligence, foolishness and utterly as a crime against the nation.

We never expect that Dr Malik or his party would present the question of forced annexation of Balochistan with Pakistan before an American foreign Secretary - that it had never met its 62 year old promises; neither we have the slightest hope that he would complain about the Iranian forces incursion into eastern occupied Balochistan where it has been given free hand to carry out the massacre of innocent Baloch people.

It is beyond of our even thinking that he would bring to the notice of the foreign secretary that in Iranian occupied Balochistan, hardly a couple of days passes by the enlightened scholars, seculars and political workers are not persecuted or shot to death. The America might have played a positive role in stopping Iran from killing our innocent people by applying some sort of pressure on Iran.
Still neither can we make the mistake by demanding from him that he should advocate for an independent Balochistan.

But we do want to listen from him those talks; he has often been talking in front of Pakistani media and among Baloch people.

It is incomprehensible for us, while you’re in Malant or in Bulnegwer, you would express concern over killings of Baloch political leaders and speak to the fullest of your throat against the abduction of political workers, but the appropriate place where these concerns should have been raised, so that the master of Pakistan might prevent it from committing carnage of Baloch nation, but you remained silent! Why?
As a Baloch leader, your failure by not mentioning or taking up the calamitous situation of Balochistan, the American government presumably assumes two things out of this: first they assume that the news and reports of military operations in Balochistan, target killing of political leaders, forced abduction of political workers, firing on peaceful demonstrations are simply not true! And that in Pakistan press and political expression of thought is free as claimed by Rahman Malik. And those Baloch political workers who are living in Pakistan and in London, Stockholm, Oslo and Washington having constant agitation and protesting the Pakistani and Iranian atrocities against Baloch would be assumed lairs.

Second; the American must be thinking, that if indeed Balochistan is in serious turmoil where Baloch nation is facing the worst kind of brutality of state terrorism, then in terms of support or opposition, the Baloch leadership, who can not take up its own national issues, then what the hell they can do for us?
In fact no one can stop America from whatever it has intended to do in the region, so it does not matter if Pakistani president, parliament or prime minister, find it good or bad!!

Last year in the joint in-camera parliamentary session (probably Dr Malik's National Party was participating), all parliamentary parties, along with army chief, had asked the Americans to stop its drone attacks on Pakistani soil. The Prime minister became so enthusiastic in his oratory to the extent that he assured the public that he had asked American president Obama that they would immediately stop the drone attacks. We had termed this assurance as a "tasteless funny joke" of well-wishing, as the drone attacks are still continuing, flaunting Pakistani so called sovereignty in tribal areas openly. Because of fear of being disgraced, no leader can make any protest, why America has discarded their parliamentary joint decision into a dustbin?.

Kerry ludger bill too will be of no different; all will oppose it, except Dr malik, but no one will dare to refuse it. Banok Clinton was well aware of the disposition of these vagabonds, therefore, she categorically said that “if you don’t need the money, then don’t take it”. This stark answer zipped up their mouth forever.
Similarly, in this respect, if Dr Malik was to support the Kerry Lugar bill and the drone attacks, he could have represented his own national (Baloch) interests. Just as the bill stipulates Pakistan that it would not use the money against India, similarly, he could have asked her the same that any money or weapon given to Pakistan must be stipulated to the effect that it is not going to be used against Baloch, because until today all American aids are being used against Baloch.
Favoring the drone attacks, similarly, he could have offered his support for the attacks on the condition that targets are not chosen by Pakistan against Baloch freedom fighters and, making sure that the general public is saved from the attacks, and demanded as well that drone predators are not given to Pakistan, because we Baloch are apprehensive of the fact that it uses them against our nation, in instead of Taliban.

Coming to conclusion, had Dr malik taken up any one of several issues of Balochistan from any angle, it would have added a few weighs not only to his party, but a few grains to his name too. As for as the solution of Balochistan issue is concern, it can not be resolved in one meeting, yet by this one could gauge the vision and honesty of these so called national leaders.

Oblivious to the excruciating sufferings of unfortunate smoldering Balochistan, today the news of this apathetic meeting has made it crystal clear that Dr Malik and his party is very close to Islamabad. Time will tell us what would be the judgment of Baloch and Balochistan regarding his apathy towards his nation, when the “Devi of words” would cease to manufacture excuses.

Mr. Hafeez Hassan Abadi was a close associate of Raziq Bugti. All of sudden, after death of traitor Raziq Bugti, Hafeez started siding with Baloch nationlist and encouraging writings to create differences among Baloch Nationlitss. He himself was part of election campagin of top fromer military gernal. He was associated for long time with Israr Zehri and Mohad Ali Rind.

Dr. Malik very bravely has raised Balochistan issue and he supported drone attacks to eliminate Taliban from Quetta.

We have to give some credit to Baloch representatives and should be careful of persons like Hafiz, who is working on behest of Pakistan Intellegence agencies to defame Baloch leaders. He is supporting Islamabad policy of Divide and Rule.

God bless Balochistan

Instead of your characher assasination of Hafeez, you could have written similar cretiable reasons like Hafeez had written about respected Dr. Malik Baloch, instead you have given baseless and invented propaganda. That was his view,if you are disagree thats fine.

You can not deny that Hafeez is a well known Baloch writer, journalist, linguist,a Balochi novelist and play writer.

Hafeez's contribution in the field of Baloch journalism and literery work remains in the history.

I dont understand why do people talk insane. Hafeez Hasanabadi has commented on Dr. Malik's and Hillary Clinton's meeting according to news report. But one of the commenters here without showing any evidence has expressed his views as the Balochistan issue was also mentioned in the Hillary-Malik meeting and Hafeez has neglected this point. The commenter writes from his own that Dr. Malik did mention the Balochistan issue in the meeting. There can be 2 meanings of these comments, 1. The commenter is lieing lazily trying to hide Dr.Malik's carelessness, 2.second, this person(the commenter) was present in the meeting in which Dr. Malik whispered to Hillary on Balochistan issue, because officially the media wouldve obviously covered it. But according to news reports there wasnt any 3rd person present in the meeting which means the comment here is written by Dr.Malik himself to decharacterize Hafeez and call himself a brave leader. If he was brave enough he wouldve immediately after meeting Hillary, called a press conference and talked about his and Hillary's meeting details and wouldve mentioned his views on Balochistan which he had expressed to US foriegn secretary. All of Balochistan was awaiting this news. You without any evidence link Hafeez and Raziq's old friendship to Islamabad, are defending Dr.Malik who was a member of senior commitee of Raziq Bugti's P.S.O in his cabinet. As Dr.Malik was close to Raziq, Hafeez would never be that close. You are defending Dr Malik who till today meets Chief of Army Staff and I.S.I. head Pasha. A person who just had a normal relationship with any official personal is an agent in ur views but a person like Dr Malik who still meets and keeps his good contacts with the heads of agencies is a Baloch leader? In reality, Hafeez's proofs have silenced you which is why you are making these false statements. Hafeez is a poor Journalist who is living in Russia since the past 12 years and willingly writes about Baloch cause. Whereas your Dr. Malik still advices people to join Baloch killers senate and parliament. Once Shaheed Chairman Ghulam Mohd expressed his views to one of Hafeez's listeners "You people are lucky to get Hafeez's advice in his own voice whereas we are so desperate even for his writings. Hafeez is a great Baloch intellectual and Think Tank."
Who is Pakistan's friend and who is Baloch's friend we know it very well. Dr Malik who was called Pakistan's income by Pakistani Prime minister. The saying is very famous "You tell us who is your friend, we will tell you who you are!"

*i apologize for mis-spelling B.S.O as P.S.O and central committee as senior committee.

The person commenting on Hafeez Hasanabadi’s writing on Dr.Malik and Hillary Clinton’s meeting, is just trying to defame Mr.Hafeez rather than debating on the subject. All the above allegations on Hafeez by this person are just rubbish and senseless. Regarding Hafeez-Raziq friendship, no one being an old BSO member can say they never were friend of Raziq Bugti. He was BSO’s chairman and was representing BSO in Kabul, so it is obvious for BSO senior members to have relation with him. If being Changez’s brother doesn’t stops Hayrbyar from his freedom struggle, Talal Bugti being Brahmdagh’s uncle cant stop Brahmdagh from his freedom struggle so Hafeez and Raziq’s “hi,hello” friendship does matter in this field? Hafeez has a ‘man of his word’ kind of personality and such allegations are just rubbish against him. Remember, Hafeez is living in Russia since 1997 and is earning his bread there to feed his family.
Similarly, Israr Zehri and Mohd Ali Rind’s friendship with Hafeez has been mentioned. Israr and Hafeez friendship is possible because both are of same age but Mohd Ali Rind’s friendship with Hafeez is just showing that the commenter is just talking whatever his ears hear. Anyways if Israr Zehri and Mohd Ali Rind friendship is bad and able to be criticized so the fingers would’ve pointed to those who were really close to them like Hasil Bizanjo, Tahir Bizanjo, Aslam Bizanjo etc. who were working with them in their government and who are still officials of Dr Malik’s party. These people are very close to Israr and Rind rather than Hafeez being that close. People who were along with Israr and Rind being senators and ministers are sitting next to Dr.Malik and during Israr and Rind’s ministry the person who was searching for employment in Russia is no one else than Hafeez. What is this friendship? What is this closeness?
Similarly the commenter wrote that Hafeez started writing just after Raziq’s death. This point also shows that the commenter is just bluffing in air. Dear! Hafeez is writing since 1993 in the politics world. He was the administrator of ‘Mahnama Balochistan’ which was later on shut down during Akhter Mengal’s government. It was a pure political newspaper. One of the main reasons of shutting the newspaper down was that it used to criticize the pro-parliamentarians thoughts even at that time. In 1996-97 Hafeez intended to get Akhter Mengal’s government’s attention that Akhter’s party before coming into power had the agenda of self-determination, so why was it silent now? Similarly he continuously criticized that Akhter’s party’s constitution had the point of implementing Balochi as Balochistan’s official language but it was quiet while it had the chance.

The commenter wrote that Dr Malik has bravely talked about Balochistan issue with Hillary Clinton. Dear! Nowadays such lies don’t survive, people are more matured than ever. When India started Balochistan debate Hillary stated that India wasn’t involved in Balochistan. If Dr. Malik would’ve spoken about Baloch issue in the meeting it would’ve obviously been covered by any of the media channels, but no such statement appeared even days after the meeting. I think the reason of Malik’s not giving any statement is that he might have been thinking if he lied that he talked about Baloch issue in the meeting, on the other hand Hillary could’ve rejected these claims. So he couldn’t dare to give any such statement but the commenter did dare.
You have written that Hafeez is trying to divide Baloch. I have read around 190 articles of Hafeez in Urdu and Balochi based on Baloch and Balochistan’s political issues. We didn’t find any theory of division of Baloch in any of his writings. One thing that he usually writes is to differentiate Baloch political workers from useless bluff master leaders so that Baloch nation remains in safe hands till it gets its freedom.
The commenter mentions Hafeez being Islamabad’s agent is a similar lie as Pakistani officials always say that they are in contact with Hayrbyar and Brahmdagh but none of their claim is true. The commenter seems to be colleague of those who used to accuse Shaheed Ghulam Mohd being agent of Pakistani agencies. Even whenever Shaheed Ghulam Mohd was abducted by the agencies such people used to spread false rumors that Shaheed was having good hospitality by ISI and MI.
The commenter should now try to debate on the given subject so that the published article’s understanding becomes easier rather than hiding his friends sins and to defame others. Therefore, any person who appraises pro-Pakistani people like Dr Malik and calls personalities like Shaheed Ghulam Mohd and Hafeez Hasanabadi as agents must think before. We pro-liberators call Hafeez as true freedom fighter. This is to be remembered and not to be forgotten

I think Dr Malik need to come in this forum and clarify about meeting between him and Hillary Clinton. We do not what went on there? What did they discuss and what else happened? Everyone seems to speculating, however, Hafeez Baloch's article (if he wrote it) was based on newspaper reports. The newspapers' reports said that "Malik met Hillary and supported the drone attacks in Quetta and discussed that Kary logar Bill" I think Hafeez was right to point out that when Malik had the opportunity he should have mentioned the Balochistan issue instead of trying to please her (she's too old anyway :)). Dr Malik should have protested and demanded from her that her country (America) should hold the pakistani army generals responsible for the crime against humanity and the genocide of Baloch people. But unfortunately Malik ignored Balochistan issue and now he and his party and followers should tolerate the criticism. After all everyone mistakes and then learn from their mistakes. Malik should not miss any such opportunities next time.

Dr Sahib all the best next time :)
