Compared to the US, Turkey has significantly improved its competetiveness in the last years. In fact, the country is one of the biggest climbers in this year's competetiveness ranking. In addition, Turkey has been in the Global spotlight for its growing importance in the Middle East and its role in the Syria conflict. The study "Turkey 2020" by NYU takes an in depth look on the country and presents three scenarios on its political future. These scenarios give insights into potential relationships between politics and religion and analyze if Turkey will continue to be a bridge between the East and the West in the future. They can thus advise decision makers from the political and business world and inspire new insights into the future of Turkey and the Middle East until 2020.
